SHV BOARD MEMBERS


James Smith, Director of National Outreach

Occupation: Real Estate Entrepreneur, Public Speaker
Education: Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University)
Hometown: Tucson, Arizona

Who Is James Smith: James is one of the country’s foremost experts in real estate and business. He is also a highly sought after and influential public speaker in real estate and has share the platform with every living US President, Mikhail Gorbachev, Donald Trump, Barbara Bush, Elizabeth Dole, former Prime Minister of South Africa F.W. Dekker, to name a few and has appeared on television and nationally syndicated radio. James has spoken to millions regarding the potential of real estate and has personally trained thousands of students all over the world. His passions are affordable housing and “Green Building”.

Charitable Efforts: Meals on Wheels, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Rosas Humanitarian Foundation among others. Also supports and assists with efforts of indigenous tribes worldwide.

Personal: James has three sons all actively involved in real estate and training activities. He currently resides in Florida.


Michelle Anderson, Director of Community Outreach

Occupation: Housing & Community Development, Fulton County Government
Hometown: Fayetteville, Georgia

Who Is Michelle Anderson: Michelle has worked in the Public and Private sector for 30 years in Administration, Management, Marketing, Sales, Client Relations and has Marketed training programs. She has worked with promotion and product display and has assisted clients with Crisis Management resulting from major disasters.

Charitable Efforts: Michelle is involved in Grass Roots politics with the Republican Party, Circle R Chairman and Executive Committee member for the Fulton County Republican Party and 5th Congressional District from 1998-2003. She served on the committee for Congressional High School Art Committee for 8 years and as a student mentor at The Atlanta Girls School, volunteered for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as a docent for the Decorators Show House. She completed the Conservative Leadership Institute Program as well as the Republican Leadership for Georgia Program and served as Treasurer. She has been the Secretary of the Fulton Life Enrichment Board since 2005.

Personal: Michelle is single and lives in Fayetteville, Georgia. She comes from a family that was always encouraged to give back to the community and make the world a better place.


Ryan Mack, Director of Economic Development

Occupation: President, The Optimum Institute of Economic Empowerment
Education: BBA, University of Michigan, College of Literature, Science and Art
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Who Is Ryan Mack: Ryan is a renowned public speaker and has provided keynote presentations to organizations such as Harvard University, Columbia University, Princeton University NAACP, National Urban League, and National Black MBA Association just to name a few. He can be regularly viewed on television on GMTV, CNBC, CNN and Thompson Reuters discussing economic/social issues that impact American citizens. He authored his book “Living in the Village”, has been profiled in Tavis Smiley’s Covenant and Action, co-authored “The Black Male Handbook” with Kevin Powell. He contributes regularly to the Huffington Post, African American Family, The Network Journal, Fortune and Black Enterprise. Ryan received the Top 40 under 40 Achievement Award from The Network Journal and was inducted by Medgar Evers College into its national honor Society PI ETA KAPPA as an honorary member. These are only a few of Ryan’s accomplishments.

Charitable Efforts: Ryan lends his support to inner-city communities coordinating workshops that teach the principles of understanding the power of financial literacy. Many have benefited from these workshops and programs developed through Optimum Capital Management. He has worked through his local District Attorney Office to teach financial literacy to previously incarcerated residents to lower recidivism rates. He also flew to South Africa to teach economic empowerment principles to those in need.

Marisabel Navarro, Director of Finance

Occupation: Citigroup Instructional Design Manager
Education: B.A.Com in Communications / Marketing / Public Relations, BA in Graphic Design and a Masters in Arts.
Hometown:Tampa, FL

Who Is Marisabel Navarro: Marisabel Navarro is a native of Venezuela and has lived in Tampa, FL since 2002 when she decided to become a U.S. Citizen. Marisabel is the Online Training Manager for Citibank’s Enterprise Supplier Risk Management Group. Prior to joining Citi Marisabel honed her skills during a 20 year career as a consultant in training management and development, in which capacity she created and implemented training programs for corporations around the world. Her passion is to provide solutions to problems

Personal: Marisabel lives in Florida with her three children.


Kenneth (K.C.) Harmon, Director of National Marketing

Occupation: Field Representative for Rich Dad Education Home Town: Newnan, Georgia

Who is KC Harmon: KC has been a youth pastor and served as a Gideon soliciting funds for the printing and distribution of Gideon bibles amongst school children, registered nurses, and soldiers being deployed. As a member of the Rich Dad community KC humbly brings a message to the nation to take control of their financial lives by committing to continuous financial education. Currently he is a representative for Rich Dad Education. He travels the nation bringing Robert Kiyosaki’s teaching for the elevation of the financial well being of humanity through investment education, encouraging everyone to have a working understanding of the Cash Flow Quadrant. His passions are sustainable housing and personal development through entrepreneurship.

Charitable Efforts: KC has also lead mission trips to Gulf Port Mississippi to rebuild houses damaged by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Also he helps other with community efforts encouraging faith and financial based family development.

Personal: Married, has 4 sons and a daughter.
